Watkins' Negligent Homicide Hearing Delayed

(Stillwater-AP) -- Today's hearing for former Congressman Wes
Watkins on negligent homicide charges in Payne County District
Court is being delayed.

A court clerk says the hearing is being continued because of a
possible settlement of the case. Watkins is charged in connection with an April car crash that killed Brian and Ardith Cullen of Stillwater. He's pleaded innocent to the charges.

Watkins is accused of crashing into the rear of the Cullens' car while it was stopped to make a left turn on U-S Highway 177. The car was pushed into oncoming traffic and hit by a tanker truck and another car.

Watkins has said he didn't see brake lights or a turn signal on
the Cullens' car.
