JOHNSTON COUNTY -- A county commissioner is out of jail, released Saturday morning, after being arrested for drunk driving.

Melvin Farmer - a Johnson County Commissioner - stands accused of driving under the influence.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers say they were operating a regular driver licenses and defective vehicle check point at the intersection of Highway 22 and 377.

Police say Farmer was pulled over through the check point and arrested about 10 o'clock for DUI and driving with an open container.

Authorities tell us Farmer was released from jail, just after 8:30 Saturday morning.
