Weather Aware conditions continue overnight due to the potential for locally heavy rainfall. A Flash Flood Watch is in effect until 7 a.m. for the northernmost portions of Texoma including Atoka, Coal, Johnston, Murray and Pontotoc Counties Beware of flooded road-ways and never drive around barricades or into water more than six inches deep. High rainfall rates may reduce visibility and also increase the risk of hydroplaning. Turn around, don’t drown! Rain ends NW to SE during the day Thursday.
8-3-04 - You probably heard the sirens across parts of Texoma – National Night Out kicked off with local parades of law enforcement. In Grayson County, a caravan wove its way through towns from Tioga to Pottsboro, sending a message that crime will not be tolerated.
It’s been a tradition across the nation for 21 years – a show of cooperation between neighborhoods and law enforcement to rid their areas of crime. For more information on National Night Out click here
