Former Sherman Mayor Remembered
8-10-04 - A former Sherman mayor who lost his battle with cancer last week was laid to rest in Sherman Tuesday. Tom Osburn served as mayor from 1999 to 2003.
He passed away Friday night at age 64. On Tuesday, his funeral was held at the First United Methodist Church in downtown Sherman, right across from city hall. That building was completed during Osburn’s term. Today, friends and family recalled a man who loved the city he served.
