COLLIN COUNTY, Tex. -- History was made on Tuesday in Collin County as officials dedicated the new courthouse. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison was among those who spoke at the afternoon ceremony.
The 300,000-square foot building is the county's fourth courthouse and will house the state district courts, the district attorney's office, law clerk office, jury selection rooms, and law library.
Collin County Judge Keith Sell says, "We are just excited to be able to serve the citizens of Collin County with this wonderful building for the administration of justice."
County officials hope to expand the facility in the future.
