Is Terror a Concern in Texas?

8-11-04 - CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) Texas officials are pondering the security implications of videos shot by a Pakistani man charged with federal immigration violations. Videos found in the possession of Kamran Akhtar shows the Texas Capitol, the Texas governor's
mansion and downtown Austin businesses, plus structures in Houston and Dallas.

Details are in a federal affidavit unsealed yesterday in Charlotte. Akhtar was arrested in Charlotte on July 20th. He's charged with violating federal immigration and naturalization laws and making a false statement.

Police say Akhtar told an officer that he was making videotapes for family members.
The FBI is now investigating.

An aide to Governor Rick Perry says he doesn't believe it's a credible threat against Texas.
