Meth Lab Bust in Sherman - Costly Cleanup

8-11-04 - A Sherman methamphetamine lab is out of business after a raid by local authorities. The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at a house on the corner of Carr and Mulberry. Once inside they discovered a working meth lab set up in the living room floor.

Assisted by Sherman P.D. and DPS Narcotics Officers they seized numerous chemicals and 4 jars of liquid that were separating in the middle of the living room floor. The lab was capable of producing $250.00 to $300.00 per night.

There was no running water or electricity in the residence. Officers estimate the lab will cost $4,000 to $6,000 to clean up.

A 27-year-old man was arrested near the residence without incident. He was taken to the Grayson County Jail for Manufacture & Delivery of Controlled Substance. More charges may be filed in this case.
