8-13-04 - McKINNEY, Texas (AP) A Plano woman acquitted by reason of insanity in the death of one of her daughters still faces a capital-murder charge in the death of another.

A jury in McKinney returned the innocent verdict Thursday in the case of 33 year old Lisa Ann Diaz. Their mother now goes to a maximum security state facility for mental evaluation.

Diaz was tried on one count of capital murder for the death of five-year-old daughter Briana Diaz. She still faces another capital murder charge in the death of her three-year-old daughter Kamryn Diaz at their home.

Prosecutors will review their options on that count in light of yesterday's verdict. Diaz has an older daughter from a previous marriage.
