BRYAN COUNTY, Okla. – A Durant man is behind bars today at the Bryan County Jail after allegedly robbing and beating a man in the face with a flashlight.

Durant Police arrested Jason Stewart on Monday. He is charged with armed robbery, assault, and battery and malicious injury to property.

Authorities say the victim, Dustin Stroud, was approached by a woman needing a ride on Sunday leaving the Choctaw Casino. He drove the women to an undisclosed location. When he stopped to let her out, two men approached his car, jumped into the front seat and beat him with a flash light. The suspects then stole his wallet and drove off.

Police are still looking for Dustin Davis, the other suspect in the case.

If you know of his whereabouts, you're asked to call the Durant Police Department at 580-924-3737.

Hay bring him to ardmore and get in front of judge walker and he gives slaps on the wrist for arm robbing. Who knows Judge walker may be more lenyant to this robber for beating up a man. He gave 2 nineteen year old boys 75 days in county jail for arm robbing grandys in Ardmore.

I hope that the Judicial System here works better than the one in Ardmore did. This guy deserves to be sent to prison for years not days. I would hope that our Judges can do a better job than the one in Ardmore. To Bryan county Judges please send this man to prison and make an example of how the system should work for the people.

Maybe they'll get lucky and Judge Tom Walker will hear their case. Let's see, no gun...they'll be out in 30 days.
