$20,000 Drug Bust in Sherman

8-18-04 – Authorities in Sherman seized about 17 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop on Highway 75 Tuesday evening. An Arkansas man was taken into custody after officers found the pot, which was packed into a single brick.

A Sherman Police Officer stopped 29 year old Nakia Laaverly Wimbley for a seatbelt violation. The officer found 20,000 dollars worth of marijuana in the trunk.

Wimbley was taken to the Grayson County Jail and is charged with possession of marijuana.
