8-18-04 - A new criminal justice building at Grayson County College means better training for tomorrow's crime fighters. The grand opening of the renovated criminal justice building at GCC will allow college students and members of the police academy for all police and sheriff's departments in Grayson, Fannin, and Cooke Counties to work side by side.

GCC will offer three law enforcement programs – college students, professionals, and one for Denison high school students. They can earn up to 18 hours of college credit.

The facility includes three classrooms where college students will study fingerprinting, DNA collection, and other crime fighting tools. Renovations to the criminal justice building were made using money from the college's general budget. No extra money had to be raised.
