Abused Horse Update

Video will be available shortly.

8-19-04 - Authorities have located the owner of a neglected horse found east of Sherman last week. But as of now, there are no plans to file charges.

Police say the man told them the horse escaped from him along the highway, and he meant to come back to find him. As for why the horse was so malnourished, the man told police he'd just bought it.

But the horse will stay with the Lone Star Equine Rescue. The man didn't ask for the horse back or how it was doing.
