Plant Worker Dies After Fall

8-20-04 – Authorities are investigating the death of an employee at the Campbell Soup plant in Paris, Texas. First responders were called to the plant at around 8am Wednesday. Fifty six year old Jose Escobedo was badly injured after a fall. He was taken to Paris Regional Medical Center, then transferred to Parkland Hospital in Dallas.

He died from his injuries at the Dallas hospital.

Officials from OSHA and Campbell Soup arrived in Paris Thursday to investigate the accident. They say their investigation will take several days.
