Murder Trial Begins in Bryan Co.
8-23-04 – A Bryan County man will go to trial Monday for the shooting of his 21 year old common law wife. Tabitha Himes was shot to death with an assault rifle outside the front door of her home in Colbert, Oklahoma last November.
Thirty four year old Leslie Cross lived with Himes and their seven month old daughter at the time. Authorities believe Himes was shot through the front door as she walked back inside the home.
Cross went on the run for five days before surrendering to Durant Police.
