POTTSBORO, Tex. – The city of Pottsboro took a step toward improving the safety of county roads on Friday.

The group 'Less Tears, More Years' joined community leaders in putting up new road signs Friday afternoon. The signs indicate curves ahead and were placed on Scott Hill Road where officials say one teen was killed in a car crash last May.

City leaders say this is just one of the ways they're trying to make roads safe for drivers.

"This is just the first sign of many to come. You’ll see numerous come in the future. We're trying to identify the problem locations, worst locations first and start with those," says Pottsboro Police Chief Brett Arterburn.

Arterburn says volunteers put up four signs on Friday and will continue putting them up on other county roads.
