Drug Dealer Heading to Prison

8-31-04 - District Judge Jim Lovett sentenced a Bonham man to 15 years in prison for dealing cocaine. Manuel Jun Jiminez, age 48, of Bonham, pled guilty to possession of cocaine on August 27.

Drug Task Force officers Terry Bee and George Robinson had been investigating Jiminez for some time. Based on their undercover work they were convinced that Jiminez was in the business of selling illegal drugs. When Jiminez sold crack cocaine to a confidential informant, Bee and Robinson were able to obtain a search warrant for Jiminez’s residence. The search resulted in the officers finding an ounce of crack cocaine.

Bee, a Bonham police officer, and Robinson, a Fannin County Sheriff’s deputy, are both assigned to the regional drug task force. County Attorney Porter praised the two officers for their hard work. “Both agencies have reason to take pride in these officers. They put together a rock solid case and their work has been invaluable to our county’s fight against illegal drugs,” Porter stated.
