Industrial Park Opens in Sherman

9-2-04 - Sherman’s newest industrial park officially opened for business Thursday. City leaders hope the Northgate Park will lure a variety of businesses to an area formerly owned by Johnson & Johnson.
The city bought the 211 acres of land when J&J left town, dividing the property into several lots. They believe the smaller, versatile lots are an attraction to industries looking to expand or relocate.
Their first tenant is Federal Express. The Fed-Ex building will be completed and ready for shipping by October 1st.
