Child Makes Explosives

Video will be available shortly.

9-6-04- The mother of a 9 year old Ardmore boy says she is concerned that her son was able to make homemade bombs, then set them off in a neighborhood field.

Joyce Ned says she is the one who called the police after she discovered her son had been making explosive devices and setting them off. Police say he was using toilet bowl cleaner and aluminum foil as ingredients.

Ned says she called police so her son would learn the consequences of his actions. She says her son learned how to make the bombs from older children who found the instructions on the internet.

The incident has been turned over to juvenile affairs.
