POTTSBORO, TX - A motorcyclist and truck collide near Pottsboro, leaving one man seriously injured The accident happened just after 8 p.m. Thursday at State Highway 289 and FM 406.
Pottsboro Police Chief Shone Nix said the woman driving the truck was not hurt, but the man on the motorcycle suffered serious injuries and had to be flown by Air Evac to a hospital.
"The female driver of the Chevy Silverado was southbound on 289. She attempted to turn eastbound on FM 406, at which time she struck a northbound motorcycle," said Chief Nix.
Nix said the woman driving said she did not see the motorcyclist, whose name is not being released. The extent of his injuries is unknown.
The driver of the truck was not cited, but could be facing charges pending the investigation.
The intersection was closed and traffic was backed up for nearly an hour.
