Achille police chief terminated

ACHILLE, OK-A Texoma police chief said he has been fired, but doesn't know why.

Former Achille Police Chief Shane Guhl said he was let go on Friday at the special city council meeting. Guhl said he was not given a reason for his termination and has hired an attorney.

We reached out to Achille city councilors, they were unavailable for comment. The assistant mayor said she has no comment, but the city has also hired an attorney.

Police officers tell us Russell Davis has been hired as the new interim chief.
