Wednesday and Thursday are Weather Aware days due to the potential for locally heavy rainfall. Beware of flooded road-ways and never drive around barricades or into water more than six inches deep. High rainfall rates may reduce visibility and also increase the risk of hydroplaning. Turn around, don’t drown! Isolated strong thunderstorms may develop late Wednesday afternoon, but widespread severe weather does not appear to be likely at this time.
ADA, OK - Ada city council discussed the hiring of a new city manager during a meeting Monday but did not take action.
The city is looking to replace former city manager David Hathcoat. Hathcoat served as city manager for 15 years but resigned in February.
City officials will not go into details about why Hathcoat stepped down.
Cody Holcomb is currently serving as interim city manager and is scheduled to do so until the position is filled.
