OKLAHOMA CITY, OK -- An Ada man accused of plotting to poison his pregnant girlfriend with ricin faced a preliminary hearing in Oklahoma City Thursday.

Preston Rhoads, who graduated from East Central University, was charged in April with two counts of solicitation of murder and two counts of attempting to kill another person.

The 30-year-old Rhoads allegedly produced the ricin himself using instructions from the internet.

He's pleaded not guilty.

His next court date is August 15th.
