Pharmacy robbed, suspect arrested in Gainesville

GAINESVILLE, TX-- 30-year-old Jeremy Lackey was pulled over and arrested for Aggravated Robbery shortly after he left the pharmacy store with the narcotics.

According to police, Lackey walked into the ameri-care pharmacy, in Gainesville, at the corner of Weaver and Broadway, just before Noon.

They said he covered his face, then showed employees a gun and demanded pills. Officers said when Lackey drove away from the pharmacy and employees called 911.

Police said it was a team effort that landed him behind bars.

"Yes, it was a combined effort between, not only the employees of the employees of the pharmacy, but the communications operator and the officers on the streets, that we were all working together that we were able to effective an arrest in the incident," explained, Sgt. Bobby Balthrop.

Lackey sits in the Cooke County jail Friday night waiting for a court appearance.
