Woman convicted of manslaughter in D.J. Jones murder case

BRYAN COUNTY, OK -- A woman accused in the murder of D.J. Jones is headed to prison.

The District Attorney's office says a jury found 21-year-old Alora Hix guilty of manslaughter, and sentenced her to four years.

While Hix had been charged with second degree murder, authorities say the jury was allowed to consider lesser offenses.

Investigators say Wesley Kelley, Dustin Metcalf, and Harold Hass hatched a plan using Hix as bait to lure Jones to Cartwright, Oklahoma last summer, after a drug deal gone bad.

Kelley was given 35 years in prison. Hass and Metcalf are awaiting trial.
