Anna police confiscate five pounds of meth

ANNA, TEXAS -- Anna Police confiscated five pounds of meth last week from three men who they say were delivering the drugs from Fort Worth to Tulsa.

Last Saturday, Sgt. Jeff Caponera says an officer stopped a vehicle driving northbound on 75 near Mantua Road.

When police searched the vehicle, the driver, Whitewright resident Jessie Stephens, took off running.

When police caught up with him, they found half a pound of meth on him.

Through an investigation, they also found half a pound of meth on another man, Stephan Hamilton, and several pounds on Jose Antonio Salinas.

Stephens and Hamilton bonded out of jail.

Salinas is still in the Collin County Jail.

Caponera says one of the men was going to sell some of that meth in Van Alstyne.
