ANTLERS, OK -- A city weapon code has been reversed in Antlers to reflect state statutes.
In an effort to relax certain laws, an ordinance was passed at the last council meeting to remove the city code in place since 2009 that banned pocket knives.
An important subsection was left out accidentally, which kept the pocket knives illegal.
"We've already remedied it, we had a meeting at noon today at City Hall and we passed the subsection, so it's now legal to carry a pocket knife in the city of Antlers," says Mayor Mike Burrage.
A Second Amendment rights activist group was the first to point out the mix-up to Antlers officials.
