Ardmore city commissioners to consider SW Park equipment

ARDMORE, OK - Ardmore residents have chosen which playground equipment they want at a new park in the city and city commissioners will consider their request Monday night.

Residents living within a half mile of the new Southwest Park on Plainview Road met last Monday.

Parks and Recreation Director Kevin Boatright said the community decided on equipment that includes two playgrounds, a swing set and an open air pavillion.

The total cost would be $157,000 and if approved, the equipment could be installed by the end of October.

The entire park project should be done by Spring 2013.
