ARDMORE, OK -- A teenager is dead and two hospitalized after a fatal accident in Ardmore Sunday morning.

Police say a car left the roadway and rolled at least once on the 3400 block of Carter South East.

A 15-year-old passenger was ejected and died at the scene.

The 17-year-old driver and a 16-year-old passenger were taken to hospitals. A witness reported that the car swerved to avoid hitting an animal in the roadway.

Ardmore Police Sergeant Ryan Hunnicutt says, it appears the driver and passengers may not have been wearing seat belts.

"Anytime we have anyone ejected that's a pretty strong assumption. At this time, I don't have all the information about the other two. I do know the 16-year-old was sent to the hospital here in Ardmore and the 17-year-old was medi-flighted to Oklahoma City. So a very severe crash and something very serious and tragic in our area.", Hunnicutt said.

Hunnicutt said their investigation indicates they were headed home and all lived in the Golden Oaks edition in Ardmore.
