ARDMORE, OK - An Ardmore mother whose son was mauled by a dog in September has been charged with neglect of a child.
Ardmore police say 24-year-old Kera Wood and her 2-year-old old son were staying with an acquaintance in the 700 block of Cherry Street about three weeks ago.
That evening the boy was feeding the dog unsupervised when he was bitten.
The district attorney's office said Wood's initial appearance was this morning, and she's not in custody.
The charge said that Wood did not supervise her son adequately and that led to her son's injuries.
She's due in court next month for her preliminary hearing conference.
