ARDMORE, OK -- An Ardmore teenager, accused of robbing a gas station employee, who was also stabbed multiple times will now be tried as an adult.

Carter County District Attorney Craig Ladd says it was determined in court Friday that there is sufficient evidence for 16-year-old Christopher Dewayne Banks to stand trial as an adult.

Banks was charged back in november for first degree robbery along with 21-year-old Kevontre Jones and 18-year-old Deangelo Washington, in connection with the stabbing of 41-year-old Yoshi Hirashawa in the parking lot of the rockford C-Mart in Ardmore.

Banks remains behind bars in a juvenile detention center.

His preliminary hearing is set for Thursday at 9AM.
