Ardmore woman found guilty of shooting husband

ARDMORE, OK - A Carter County jury said an Ardmore woman is guilty of shooting her husband.

40-year-old LaVonda Sue Pinnick was convicted of second degree murder.

Police said in October, 51-year-old Vernon Love was found dead in the couples' home off W. Main St. in Ardmore.

District Attorney Craig Ladd said Love's death was first thought to be a suicide, but evidence led them to charge Pinnick with murder.

Ladd said the jury recommended Pinnick be sentenced to ten years in prison for Love's death.

Pinnick was also found guilty of a firearm crime and two drug related crimes.

Pinnick faces a total of twenty-four years in prison.

She is set to be sentenced Sept. 26.
