ARDMORE, OK - Ardmore police said they arrested several large scale drug dealers yesterday in a warrant round up.

A combination of four different law enforcement agencies including: Ardmore Police, the Carter County Sheriff's Office, Oklahoma Highway patrol and the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics teamed up for a four month long investigation and made ten arrests throughout Ardmore.

Police credit the interagency cooperation as well tips from citizens for yesterdays success.

Authorities arrested seven alleged drug dealers for felony distribution of controlled and dangerous substances.

Three others were arrested during the round up for separate charges, bringing the arrest total to ten.

Police said undercover operations like this take time, but make a bigger impact in the safety of the community.

"Sometimes we are a little patient instead of going for the quick flashy arrest that makes a big splash in the newspaper we try to get best benefit out of our effort," Sgt. Ryan Hunnicutt said.

Ardmore police said they have three remaining warrants to serve.

OBN said suspects at large usually turn themselves in once they hear police are looking for them.
