Test results again show low blue green algae toxicity in Lake Texoma

LAKE TEXOMA-If you have plans to hit lake Texoma this holiday weekend, it's safe to swim!

The Army Corps of Engineers found blue green algae toxicity levels are well below the standards of Oklahoma state law. The tests did find cell counts were elevated in some areas. But for now, the Corps said the levels are safe and the state has not issued any warnings.

Last week, the state urged visitors to avoid water contact while the tests were conducted. The Corps said they pull samples monthly and they'll test the water again in mid-September.
