Atoka man injured in accident

ATOKA COUNTY, OK -- An Atoka man is in the hospital after a truck slammed into a tree.

OHP says 31-year-old Joshua Baxter was driving east on State Highway 7 when he ran off the roadway and hit the tree.

The crash happened after 10 Friday morning 5 miles west of Atoka.

He was air lifted to a Plano hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.

Troopers say the cause of the collision was inattention.
