Austin College 'Tops Off'

SHERMAN, TX -- Austin College got a special addition today. As a part of its topping off ceremony.

Workers placed a tree on top of the Austin College IDEA Center. It's to celebrate the end of creating the external frame for the building.

The new facility will be used for science education, and will be one of the very first "Leadership in Energy Efficient Design Certified" buildings in the area.

"The IDEA Center is really a dramatic improvement and extention of our commitment to science education. So it's 100 thousand square feet of space for students and faculty to study, to learn, to do research," said Marjorie Hass, President of Austin College.

The building will be open in fall of 20-13.
