Wednesday and Thursday are Weather Aware days due to the potential for locally heavy rainfall. Beware of flooded road-ways and never drive around barricades or into water more than six inches deep. High rainfall rates may reduce visibility and also increase the risk of hydroplaning. Turn around, don’t drown! Isolated strong thunderstorms may develop late Wednesday afternoon, but widespread severe weather does not appear to be likely at this time.
BELLS, TX -- A motorcyclist is in the hospital after a three-vehicle accident in Bells Saturday afternoon.
Bells Police Sgt. Daniel Moores says a semi was turning North on Highway 69 and blocked a motorcyclist going West on Highway 56.
He says the biker tried to avoid a collision, but instead struck an SUV.
The motorcyclist has been taken to TMC. The condition of the victim is unknown at this time.
"Just to be sure to stop at every stopping destination and look both ways, make sure traffic is clear before making any possible turns," said Moores.
Bells police say they're still looking for the driver of the semi. If you have any information on this accident you are urged to contact the Bells Police Department.
