Scattered showers and storms could become strong to severe this afternoon into the evening. Primary threats are large hail and heavy rainfall causing flooding in poor drainage areas. Damaging winds are included as well and an isolated tornado possibility is very low but not eliminated.

This area is known for having lush fields of the Texas state flower this time of year.
