BRYAN COUNTY, OK -- The Bryan County Sheriff's Office and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation are investigating after a body was found Monday evening.
Around 5:45 p.m. sheriff's investigators say they got a call saying someone was dead in a creek on Old Highway 70 near Lone Oak Rd. When authorities got to the scene they say they found a deceased adult male. Bryan County Chief Investigator Nathan Calloway says homicide has not been ruled out.
"We're not ruling out anything at this point," Calloway said. "Right now we don't know the cause or manner of death, and between the Bryan County Sheriff's Office, OSBI, the Medical Examiner's Office we should find a cause of death soon."
Calloway says the man's body will be take to the Medical Examiner's Office in Oklahoma City for autopsy.
