DENISON, TX -- A man was found dead outside of the Cardinal Inn Motel in Denison around 9:30 p.m. Sunday, according to police.
Officers tell News 12 they received a call from the manager of the motel, saying there was a person on the grass outside the business.
A second call later came in, stating that the person was covered in blood.
At this point in time, Lt. Mike Eppler with the Denison Police Department said, it appears the man died from self-inflicted wounds.
The Dallas County Medical Examiner's Office is working to determine a cause of death for the man, according to Lt. Eppler.
The name and age of the man is not being released at this time. He is only described as a white male.
Eppler said the "investigation is continuing," at this time.
