PARIS, TX -- Authorities believe they have found the body of a Paris man who has been missing for nearly 3 weeks.
The Texas Rangers contacted the Paris Police department Wednesday night after the Red River County Sheriff's office received a tip regarding the discovery of a body near a roadway.
Based on tattoo descriptions, authorities believe the person found is 29-year-old Troy Gray, Jr.
Chief Bob Hundley says they believe foul play may be involved.
Hundley said, "You don't find that somebody has a car burned and missing for three weeks and then deceased so we are anticipating that foul play is going to be involved."
The body has been sent to the Dallas area for forensic examination and positive identification.
Paris police say they are continuing to follow up on leads, but don't have any suspects at this time.
They encourage anyone with information to contact their local law enforcement.
We will bring you more on this investigation as we get it.
