LAKE MURRAY -- After three hours of searching Lake Murray and the surrounding state park a search and rescue team found 53-year-old Glenna Bridgeman's body.

"A family member had contacted state parks and the vehicle was found that the victim was driving," said Carter County Sheriff Milton Anthony. "She'd been apparently missing for a couple days."

Anthony said Bridgeman was found a quarter a mile west of Martin's Landing where the search was staged. The sheriffs office, OHP, and Lake Murray State Park all helped in the search as well as Johnston County and Coal County search and rescue units.

Campers who saw the scene unfold couldn't imagine a death at the park.

"We met them all coming in and they had their lights on and everything and came in here really fast so we knew something was up, something bad had happened," said Coelene Sisco, a camper at the park.

Anthony said suicide is a possibility in this case, but the medical examiner will determine an official cause of death.
