(BONHAM, TEXAS) -- The Bonham Fire Department is looking for more volunteer firefighters.
Chief Brad Nichols says applicants must be at least 18-years-old and live within the Bonham Fire jurisdiction with no felony charges. He encourages residents of all physical capabilities to apply.
He says, "just because they're not 20 year old and ready to go into a burning building. We can teach them how to pump a truck on the fire..that would free up a paid personnel that could go into the building so that would be a benefit to the department."
If you're interested you can pick up an application at Bonham Fire Station One on Center Street. Volunteers will be provided with all training, equipment and gear.
