Two upper level waves will interact with a warm and very moist air mass to generate thunderstorms through Saturday. Lightning and torrential rainfall that could cause flash flooding are the primary threats...with a secondary threat of damaging winds. Turn around, don't drown!
FANNIN CO., TX - Authorities have released the name of the man who drowned at Bonham State park over the weekend.
A 911 call sheet from the Fannin County Sheriff's Office states deputies were called out to Bonham State park just before 4:30 Saturday evening, and found 60-year-old Robert Burnes deceased.
Park officials tell News 12 Burnes was swimming, along with a 15-year-old girl, outside a designated swimming area near the dam when he went under and never resurfaced.
It took rescue crews about an hour to find his body, we're told the teen who was with him is okay.
