Bonham gun show sees big turnout

BONHAM, TX -- Hundreds of people turned out to a gun show in Bonham this weekend.

"It's a pretty emotional issue. We all believe in what the second amendment stands for and that's the right of the people to bear arms and own 'em," said FFL Dealer, Tom Cross.

We talked to event organizers who say they expected about a 20 percent increase in attendance because of the gun control debate.

Some attendees admit the debate is fueling them to load up on guns and ammo.

"Nearly everybody here is in agreement with me. People are fearful. People are fearful of an intrusive government. People are fearful," said attendee, Joe Carpenter.

The gun show was held at the Bonham Multi-Purpose Complex Center.
