Bonham names new City Manager

BONHAM, TX -- Bonham has named their new city manger.

Wednesday was his first day in office. Tuesday, Bonham City Council unanimously voted Bill Shipp into office.

Shipp has worked for several North Texas cities for 17 years. He will serve as Bonham's City Manager for at least 3 years.

"I think it's going to be a great place to live and become part of this community. The other thing I look for when I'm looking for a position, I look to the council and staff. And my belief is, and I'm confident that this is a really good city council and staff," says Shipp.

Shipp was recently the City Manager to Royse City and before that, he was the City Manger of Commerce.
