BONHAM, TX - One Bonham family is now without a home tonight after flames took hold of it.

It happened at around 5:00 pm on the 400th block of west 6th street.
Bonham firefighters found the house fully engulfed when they arrived, so they called for mutual aid from Dodd city, Ector and Randolph.

It took crews almost an hour to put out the flames. Bonham fire captain Jack Bernie says the family was not home at the time of the fire.

And what started the blaze is still under investigation, but Bernie says a family member told the fire marshal that they were using space heaters earlier in the day.

No one was injured in the fire.
