Brand new Ada home destroyed in fire

ADA, OK - Firefighters said an Ada couple just moved into their new home when it when up in flames Monday night.

Ada Fire Chief Marion Harris said by the time first responders arrived at the home off County Road 3548, it was fully engulfed in flames. The estimated damage is around $600,000. The home is a total loss.

The cause is still under investigation but fire officials said it appears to be an accidental fire. They believe it may have started in the attic.
