LAMAR COUNTY, TX-- Lamar County is no longer under a burn ban.
Three weeks after issuing a 90 day burn ban, commissioners decided Monday to lift the ban after receiving about two inches of rain last week.
Residents are still urged to use caution when doing any type of outdoor burning.
The city of Reno is still under a burn ban that prohibits any outdoor burning. City officials say with the drought conditions it becomes a health and public safety situation regarding burning in open spaces.
