Burned Atoka body identified as Alan Oliver

Investigators have identified the burned body found in Atoka as Alan Oliver.

Oliver has been missing since last Friday.

His body was found Wednesday in his van, which was also burned.

Atoka Police Chief Gene Dodson said they have a person of interest, who has been detained since Monday on an unrelated charge.

He said the person is from the Atoka area - he and Oliver are former coworkers.

Dodson said the cause and manor of Oliver's death are still pending, but he's confident in the direction of the investigation.

He said identifying the body took longer than normal because of how badly it was burned.
