BRYAN COUNTY, OK - After days of being closed, East and West Burns Run public beaches are now reopened.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers tested the toxicity levels with samples of blue green algae taken from the public beach area. The test came back with low levels of toxicity. The Corps believes it shows no threat to human or animal health.

The public beaches are back open, and they invite everyone to enjoy the lake.

On the 24th there was blazing red headlines that this area was closed and had dangerously high levels of BGA. 3 days later your now reporting that everything is great, come on out the water is just fine. Why don't you do a story on why the Corp would issue a statement such as this and then recant it. Either we have some idiots doing the testing or there is a major coverup going on in the name of tourism/business. Which one is it?

Rather go to Turner Falls. The water doesn't feel like warm urine there. Texoma is a cesspool.

Just be sure to stay at the top of Turner Falls or you are swimming in someone's urine for sure if you're downstream.

I mean temperature. When I swim I like to get cool. Texoma water gets too hot to really enjoy.

Sounds like someone without a boat. You going to have to swim in deep water if you want to cool down.
